ERIK URBSCHAT

As a rule, Erik Urbschat’s pieces of jewellery do not begin life as a drawing but are the result of an experimental development process. Often, it all starts with Erik exploring a particular technique, eager to discover its boundaries. The goal of Erik’s work is to achieve the ideal combination of form, material and  in each piece.

Erik’s RedDot Award winning design – the Turnus bracelet – was inspired by a child’s toy belonging to one of his children. The inner diameter of the Turnus bracelet can be adjusted (by turning it 180 degrees), in order to make it bigger to put on and take off, and conversely, smaller once being worn so it doesn’t come off by itself.
