CLAUDIA HOPPE

Claudia Hoppe’s minimalist geometric designs begin life with a process using simple, flat sheets of paper which she develops into voluminous 3-dimensional prototypes.

Metals like gold and silver become extremely flexible through a work-hardening process and with the use of state-of-the-art technology, Claudia cuts and forms her designs in these materials, utilising their inherent springiness to function without standard clasps. The clean lines of these sculptural pieces draws inspiration from the reduced geometry of modernist architecture.
