Clear-cut shapes in gold, silver, coloured plastic or lacquered steel are characteristic of Claudia Hoppe’s jewellery for the wrists.
Round or square pieces with coloured surfaces arouse our instinct for play , while the Kombi bangles, concave gold or silver bangles that can be interleaved as desired, remind us of the jewellery of aboriginal cultures.
In 2008 Claudia Hoppe created sleek bangles with an integrated clasp. Lacquered on the inside with vivid colours, they discreetly project their colour onto the wearer’s skin.
She has been honoured with Inhorgenta Europe’s Innovation Award for outstanding achievement in contemporary jewellery design on two separate occasions, and her square Kubus bangle, featuring spacious flat surfaces, was incorporated in the collection of the Niessing company.
